A DMC (Destination Management Company), or inbound/receptive agency, is a company based in a destination that designs and operates tailor-made trips for foreign clients: tour operators, travel agencies or direct travellers.

Its edge is on-the-ground knowledge: it selects local suppliers (accommodation, guides, transport, experiences), negotiates rates, builds itineraries and handles all the logistics and on-site hosting.

It's also called an inbound agency, receptive operator or local agency. It's the link that turns a destination into a real trip.
