Nathalie: twenty years of escape(s) in Thailand
Founder and director of Thaïlande Évasion, she pairs on-the-ground experience with tailor-made travel. A trust she has just extended to TOOGO, currently being implemented in her agency.
Nathalie founded Thaïlande Évasion, a French-Thai travel agency based in Thailand. Surrounded by a multicultural team (Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, France) rooted on the ground for nearly twenty years, she designs tailor-made trips far from the classic routes (exactly the vision of travel we love at TOOGO) and is also locally committed through her humanitarian association Un jour dans la vie – Tribes Child, which supports the ethnic communities of northern Thailand.
A few months ago, Thaïlande Évasion became a DMC that has just placed its trust in us, and is today in the implementation phase of TOOGO.
Her Thailand
How would you introduce Thaïlande Évasion in a few words?
Thaïlande Évasion is first and foremost a local agency, based in Thailand, and a French-Thai team that truly knows the country. We create tailor-made trips, with a fairly simple idea: to reveal Thailand as we know it and as we love it, beyond the classic itineraries.

What makes your way of revealing Thailand so distinctive?
I'd say our knowledge of the ground. We don't build trips from the other side of the world: we are here, in Thailand. We know the regions, the roads, the villages, the guides, the little addresses and, above all, the people we work with. That lets us offer a far more authentic Thailand, with genuine encounters and experiences you won't necessarily find on traditional tours.

What do you enjoy most in your work today?
Creating. Starting from a conversation with travellers, understanding what they're looking for and building a trip that will truly suit them. And then continuing to travel Thailand ourselves, seeking new experiences, meeting new people and finding those little gems that make the difference. Even after all these years, Thailand still manages to surprise us.

If you had 48 hours to make someone fall in love with Thailand, where would you take them?
It's very hard to choose! Perhaps to the North, walking in the mountains up to tribal villages reachable only on foot, for the encounters and the sharing. But I'd also love to take them towards Prachuap Khiri Khan, to discover a Thailand of sea, mountains, natural parks and small fishing villages, very far from the image of the big seaside resorts.

What's your secret gem in Thailand, the one you love to reveal?
I don't have one, but several! The remote villages of the northern tribes, reachable after several hours of walking, the Prachuap Khiri Khan region, but also the deeper South with its far less touristy little islands and the Maniq, an indigenous people of the southern forests. It's these much lesser-known facets of Thailand that I love to reveal.

TOOGO & her
Why did you decide to get started with TOOGO?
We needed a tool truly suited to an inbound agency like ours, able to centralise all the creation and management of our trips.
What particularly won you over or convinced you about the tool?
Having a complete tool, designed for tailor-made tourism, and above all flexible enough to adapt to the way we work.
Was there a feature that immediately struck you as especially useful for your business?
Creating trips and quotes, with our entire database directly integrated. That really is the heart of our business.

What do you mainly expect from TOOGO in your daily routine once implementation is complete?
A real time saving, better organisation and, above all, centralising our files in a single tool, from creating the trip through to following it up.
What are your first impressions of the TOOGO team and support?
Very positive. The team is available, attentive and genuinely seeks to understand how we work and what we need. The six-month training, one hour a week, is a real plus, as are the many training videos available online, which let us revisit the features at our own pace. You really feel supported in getting to grips with the tool.
If you had to sum up TOOGO in three words today, which would you choose?
Complete, intuitive and scalable.
Between DMCs
What advice would you give to another DMC thinking about evolving its tools or its way of working today?
Don't wait until you're overwhelmed to evolve your tools. When business grows, having a tool suited to your trade saves time, structures your work better and, above all, keeps you focused on what matters: creating beautiful trips for our clients.
